Apparently the Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Syria attacked Israel on direct orders from Tehran without looping in President Assad. But he is said to have used Syrian assets. Israel's counterpunch was massive! This is how you deal with bullies.

Israel’s predawn retaliatory airstrike campaign on Thursday primarily targeted dozens of Iranian bases, command centers and weapons caches in Syria, but along the way Israeli jets dealt a crushing blow to Syrian dictator Bashar Assad’s already severely weakened air defenses. According to the Israel Defense Forces, shortly after midnight, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’s al-Quds Force launched 20 Grad and Fajr-5 rockets from southern Syria at Israeli military positions on the Golan Heights, following weeks of threats from Tehran to attack the Jewish state for a number of airstrikes against Iranian forces in Syria in recent months that were attributed to Israel. Israeli officials, who had repeatedly warned that the IDF would respond aggressively to any Iranian attack, ordered widespread reprisal raids, hitting Tehran-linked positions in southern, central and northern Syria. Assad regime anti-aircraft batteries opened fire on Israeli planes during the extensive overnight aerial campaign, but hit none of them, the IDF said. (More)

In the video President Trump explains what is going wrong if you labor from faulty premises. The goal of the Obama nuclear negotiations was 'a deal', whatever deal at whatever the cost, from the premise that Iran is a benevolent regime with a right to nuclear energy. What could go wrong, right?

Update: Rush Limbaugh just commented that the Iran deal is basically a set of political manifests that never passed Congress. The socalled "deal" is nothing more than a personal letter of intent by President Obama.  Iran never even signed it, so technically there is nothing to comply to. Here a reminder how "Ben Rhodes Reveals How Obama Duped America Into The Dangerous Iran Deal". Check also OBAMA SPARED HEZBOLLAH FOR IRAN DEAL on the historical archive on Dec. 18, 2017.

The EU partners are still laboring under these fallacies. Any deal is better than none, they believe. EU Foreign Minister Mogherini puts het trust in the IAEA inspections, but military installations are exempted, as are missiles! Iran is living up to the spirit of the deal, but the premises of the deal is wrong! Mogherini -- an Italian communist -- worries that new sanctions will collapse the Iranian regime. Eh yes, that is the basic idea.

Given that President Trump has given the EU partners a year to fix the holes in the deal, one would have thought the EU partners had given the matter some thought. But Chairman Tusk has only tabled the matter for discussion during a summit in Sophia on May 17! For now the EU is adhering to the deal which is "essential to the security of our citizens", according to Mogherini. Nothing could be further from the truth.

OPEC has already received instructions from Saudi Arabia to crank up output to make up for the loss in Iranian oil. The new sanctions will come into effect over 180 days for oil and gas, and over 90 days for other products.

Interestingly in their protests globalist liberals are giving away their moral deficiency: they are crying that Iran will start a war; so even they admit that Iran is unstable. Why would anyone think that giving an unstable country billions of dollars is a good idea? This shows you one thing: globalist liberals are laboring from a position of moral cowardice which they dress up as superior morality! Or as duty towards their citizens! But in effect they are sacrificing their own people and their national interests to this racket.

May 8, 2018: President Trump Iran nuclear deal decision.

Sen. Tom Cotton said Tuesday that if President Trump quits the Iran nuclear, the U.S. will be prepared to respond — including with military force — if Iran starts building a nuclear bomb. “If that’s Iran’s choice, then we’ll be prepared for that choice, and we’ll take what actions are necessary, whether those are economic, political, diplomatic or military,” Mr. Cotton, a member of the Senate Intelligence and Armed Services committees, said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.” Mr. Trump is scheduled to announce at 2 p.m. his decision on whether to quit the Iran nuclear deal. The president has called the Obama-era agreement the worst deal ever made and has been threatening to walk away from it since he took office. The agreement lifted economic sanctions on Iran in return for halting the Islamic regime’s nuclear program until 2025. (More)

The Boston Globe revealed last week John Kerry has been secretly engaging in unusual and most likely illegal shadow diplomacy with Iranian leaders in an effort to salvage the nuclear deal he helped craft. He [John Kerry] sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings. John Kerry also reportedly met with French President Emmanuel Macron in both New York City and Paris. John Kerry’s spokesman responded to Trump’s tweet by admitting Kerry is actively violating the Logan Act. (More) Kerry is certainly close to the Iranian leadership, his daughter being married to an Iranian diplomat and the marriage officiated by the Iranian Foreign Minister. Kerry has been engaging in treason since the Vietnam war. (More)

April 30, 2018 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issues Statement on Significant Development Regarding the Nuclear Agreement with Iran.

After the US and the EU caved to Iran and Obama sent billions in cash on pallets in the dead of night to Tehran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Iran "lied" after signing nuclear deal and moved weapons to a secret location and that Israel has "new and conclusive proof" of that. Israeli Intelligence uncovered a huge amount of new and dramatic information on the Iranian nuclear program. President Trump is set to make a decision before April 15 to continue or to abandon the Obama era Iran Deal.

In its determination to secure a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration derailed an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting drug trafficking by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, even as it was funneling cocaine into the United States, according to a POLITICO investigation. The campaign, dubbed Project Cassandra, was launched in 2008 after the Drug Enforcement Administration amassed evidence that Hezbollah had transformed itself from a Middle East-focused military and political organization into an international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities. Over the next eight years, agents working out of a top-secret DEA facility in Chantilly, Virginia, used wiretaps, undercover operations and informants to map Hezbollah’s illicit networks, with the help of 30 U.S. and foreign security agencies. Col. Oliver North said on Hannity yesterday that there is cooperation between Israel and the Saudis with Sunni adversaries of the Shiite regime in Tehran. Today President Trump weighed in on the notice delivered to Iran yesterday by Gen. Michael Flynn. Majid Rafizadeh at Gatestone has the specifics: Iran is in breach of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 (section 3 of Annex B) and resolution 1929. Russia, a Tehran ally, is siding with Iranian leaders arguing that Tehran has not violated the UN resolutions because Tehran's ballistic missile is not "capable of delivering nuclear weapons". Moscow is playing with words. Iran calls US national security adviser Flynn's remarks " repetitive, baseless and provocative". (Read more).

Feb 1, 2017 National Security Adviser Michael Flynn says the US has put Iran "on notice".

National Security Advisor Michael Flynn says the US has put Iran "on notice" over a provocative Iranian ballistic missile firing. He says it is in defiance of A UN Security resolution. He says Trump has criticized the agreement President Barack Obama made with Iran is "weak and ineffective" and now Iran is feeling "emboldened." "As of today we are officially putting Iran on notice." White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was later asked what "putting on notice" meant and he refused to elaborate.

Updates on $11,9 billion to Iran on the dedicated live blog.

As Iran was releasing the four American hostages they were holding, the Obama administration was sending $400 million to the Iranians. It was a hostage payment in direct opposition to US policy and it is an invitation to more hostage taking. The excuse is that it was part of a settlement reached over a 1979 failed arms deal – we gave them interest for a deal reached before the Ayatollah took control and seized Americans hostage. However, the $400 million was exchanged in cash at the exact time of he release and it was hidden from Congress, please read on.
The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward. Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said. The money represented the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement the Obama administration reached with Iran to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Iran’s last monarch, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
Obama forgot to mention the transfer of $400 million.
“With the nuclear deal done, prisoners released, the time was right to resolve this dispute as well,” President Barack Obama said at the White House on Jan. 17—without disclosing the $400 million cash payment.
Since the payoff, the intelligence arm of the Revolutionary Guard has arrested two more Iranian-Americans. The $400 million was paid in foreign currency because any transaction with Iran in U.S. dollars is illegal under U.S. law. Sanctions also complicate Tehran’s access to global banks, the Wall Street Journal reported. Some have questioned referring to this as a ransom so we have added to the article. It was definitely a ransom if one looks at the original article carefully.

IT WAS A RANSOM (...) IRAN HAS TAKEN MORE HOSTAGES AND WANTS ANOTHER RANSOM Tehran went back to arresting American hostages after releasing the last round, and are now seeking another billion dollar deal in the last six months of the administration. Since the cash shipment… the Revolutionary Guard has arrested two more Iranian-Americans. Tehran has also detained dual-nationals from France, Canada and the U.K. in recent months.

At the time of the prisoner release, Secretary of State John Kerry and the White House portrayed it as a diplomatic breakthrough. Mr. Kerry cited the importance of “the relationships forged and the diplomatic channels unlocked over the course of the nuclear talks.”… Friends and family of the Namazis believe the Iranians are seeking to increase their leverage to force another prisoner exchange or cash payment in the final six months of the Obama administration.

Mr. Kerry and other U.S. officials have been raising their case with Iranian diplomats… Iranian officials have demanded in recent weeks the U.S. return $2 billion in Iranian funds that were frozen in New York in 2009. The Supreme Court recently ruled that the money should be given to victims of Iranian-sponsored terror attacks. We actually knew this but it’s news again. (More) (More)

Republican condemnation of a top White House aide who boasted about the administration’s success selling the Iran deal to the public reached new levels on Tuesday, as several senators urged President Obama to fire him and a House committee looking into his claims went forward with its hearing – even though he didn’t show up to testify. The House Oversight Committee hearing was called to examine White House “narratives” on the Iran deal, after top adviser Ben Rhodes was featured in a New York Times Magazine profile claiming they built an “echo chamber” to sell the plan. Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, had called Rhodes to testify, but the White House shielded him from the appearance.

You can't make this stuff up!
(...) President Obama didn’t require Iranian leaders to sign the nuclear deal that his team negotiated with the regime, and the deal is not “legally binding,” his administration acknowledged in a letter to Representative Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) obtained by National Review. “The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document,” wrote Julia Frifield, the State Department assistant secretary for legislative affairs, in the November 19 letter. Frifield wrote the letter in response to a letter Pompeo sent Secretary of State John Kerry, in which he observed that the deal the president had submitted to Congress was unsigned and wondered if the administration had given lawmakers the final agreement. Frifield’s response emphasizes that Congress did receive the final version of the deal. But by characterizing the JCPOA as a set of “political commitments” rather than a more formal agreement, it is sure to heighten congressional concerns that Iran might violate the deal’s terms. Silence About First Post Iran Deal Attack On Israel

By direct order of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel's Foreign Ministry has dispatched an official letter of protest to the Western countries that signed the nuclear agreement with Iran – regarding the Iran-ordered attack on Israel on Thursday. Four rockets were fired from Syrian Thursday evening, hitting areas in the northern Galilee and the Golan Heights. Fortunately no one was hurt, but "this was an indiscriminate terrorist attack, planned in advance, with no prior Israeli provocation," the letter stated. Israel informed the Western powers that it has "reliable information that this attack was carried out by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, ordered directly by the Iranian terrorist Said Izadhi of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards." Obama: 'Iran Is Not the Enemy; the Republicans Are'

There are a number of fallacies in Obama's logic, but leaving aside the secondary considerations, the essence can be summarized in this formula: The Left is creating a false dichotomy based on fear: capitulation, or death, war and gas chambers, while their appeasement leads to exactly that. Demoralization has led to the inability to distinguish friend from foe. The enemies are not the insane Iranian mullahs, but the Republican party!

On Wednesday night, the major broadcast networks came out in full force to praise a “defiant” President Barack Obama for having made a “sweeping speech with fiery words” on the Iran nuclear deal that included the President following some in the media by comparing Iranian hardliners to Republicans against the deal (even though some Democrats are opposed to it as well) (...) “It's those hardliners chanting ‘death to America’ who are most opposed to the deal. They've been making cause with the Republican caucus.” (...) “taking on critics of his landmark nuclear deal with Iran, warning that the only alternative to the deal is war.” (Source)

Iran Continues Hostilities Because Of the Deal

Negotiating with the enemy over peace terms rather than dictating them, implies moral equivalence. The negotiators of the P5+1 certainly believe that. That's the basis of diplomacy since the event of the Westphalian order in 1648. Which is why Iran continues its hostilities. This is no victory, but surrender without a fight. Iran continues its hostilities, not in spite of, but because of the deal.

10,000 People Protest Iran Deal on Times Square

Apparently the Times Square protest has been buried by the MSM. Here's more footage:

Iran Deal With US Brings Thousands To Times Square Protest

The fall out of the deal between Iran and the 5 powers+1 is still developing, but the outlines of this disaster are getting clearer by the day. If you believe that Obama is a puppet with a mission, the Iran deal may well represent his magnum opus. Obama (and Jarrett behind the throne) made sure Iran got a deal it couldn't refuse. As Caroline Glick pointed out in her speech, the ayatollahs got a signature bonus of $150bn, and that's just for starters. But there is dissent in the ranks of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard too.

Former Congressman and US army veteran Allen West making a passionate and emotional speech to over 12,000 people in Times Square at the 'Stop Iran Deal Rally'.

As many as 10,000 people turned out in Times Square on Wednesday to protest President Obama’s controversial nuclear deal with Iran. Dubbed the “Stop Iran Deal Rally,” protesters filled the streets to call on Congress to reject the agreement. Those who turned out in support of the rally ran the political gamut, from liberal Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, who called the event a “great display of democracy in action,” to former U.S. Rep. Allen West, a tea party favorite. West spoke at the event and eviscerated Obama for “surrendering” to Iran, calling the president a “weakling” and “charlatan.” (Source)

Agreement With Iran Wasn't Negotiation, But Surrender

Postmodern leaders in the West want "peace" with Iran at any price, also nuclear proliferation in the Middle East and the sell out of our allies.

John Bolton: Nobody Believes Obama on Iran

Western leaders wanted something akin to an agreement. They got something akin to an agreement. Iran's leaders seem to have spotted pretty soon that Western leaders would willingly concede everything -- and possibly more -- to get any "agreement"; so that is what Western leaders got. Western leaders not only failed to reach an agreement; they capitulated. The reason for the talks was to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. When, according to Western reports, they saw that Iran would not agree to stop, they "flipped" and instead became complicit. All signs indicate that the West is planning to give a lawless, expansionist, terrorist regime nuclear weapons capability -- as a reward for violating international treaties again and again. What message are other rogue nations to take from that? (Source)

Iranian Defector: "US Negotiating On Behalf Of Iran"

An Iranian journalist writing about the nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran has defected. In an interview Amir Hossein Motaghi (...) has a damning indictment of America's role in the nuclear negotiations.
"The U.S. negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the 5+1 countries and convince them of a deal"...
.. Motaghi told a TV station after just defecting from the Iranian delegation while abroad for the nuclear talks. If that is true, isn't it likely that the US and Iran already reached an agreement? So they merely have to convince the 5+1 of its merits. And wouldn't such a scenario explain the recent State Department's curious explanation that Iranian chants of "death to America" are merely for "domestic consumption"? It would preempt countering the impression that such a deal even exists! A deal between the US and Iran would be just as controversial among the Mullahs is it would be in the US! They always tell you what they are up to. Isn't it safe to say that Kerry and Obama are screwing the Free West as well as their Arab and Israeli allies? Nothing is put into writing. Netanyahu Astonished Negotiations With Iran Continue

Israel's foremost challenge, Netanyahu says, is Iran's attempts to strengthen its foothold on Israel's borders, even as it tries to arm itself with nuclear weapons.

Feb 22, 2015 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Remarks at Weekly Cabinet Meeting.

At Sunday's cabinet meeting just a week before he is scheduled to travel to Washington for his controversial address to Congress, Netanyahu said that the fact that Iran “continues it's murderous terror activities around the region and it does not, unfortunately, bother the international community which is continuing to talk with Iran about a nuclear accord that will enable it to to build industrial capabilities to develop nuclear arms.” Netanyahu's comments came as US Secretary of State John Kerry was set to begin talks Sunday in Geneva with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Netanyahu said that it was “astonishing” that after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published a report last week that said Iran was continuing to hide military elements of its nuclear program, that the talks will continue as regular. “Not only are they continuing,” Netanyahu said of the talks, “but there is an intensive effort to reach a nuclear agreement in the coming days and weeks.” (...) The foremost challenge, Netanyahu said, is Iran's attempts to strengthen its foothold on Israel's borders, even as it tries to arm itself with nuclear weapons. In addition to Iran's direct involvement with Hezbollah in the North, and Hamas in the South, it is now trying to open a third front against Israel on the Golan Heights under its direct command, he said. Iran Orders Hezbollah attack on Israel

According to unnamed sources in Washington, Iran ordered its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah to carry out Tuesday's attack on Israeli forces patrolling the Israel-Lebanon border following an alleged attack on the Parchin nuclear facility in Iran "by a foreign state," the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rai reported on Friday. Hezbollah planted and detonated two bombs in the Har Dov region along the Lebanese-Israeli border on Tuesday, with one device injuring two IDF soldiers. A second blast tore through the same area about 30 minutes later, but failed to cause injuries or damages. Satellite images taken of Iran’s Parchin military compound after a blast reportedly tore through it show “damage consistent with an attack” at the site, according to an earlier report by the Israel Defense website on Thursday. According to the report by Ronen Solomon, the images form evidence that “refutes the denials of the Iranian government” and prove that the explosion at Parchin – which has been linked by Western intelligence to nuclear missile fuse trials – “indeed occurred inside the military compound.” The images “clearly show damage consistent with an attack against bunkers in a central locality within the military research complex at the Parchin military compound,” the report added. Mysterious Explosion Rocks Iran Military Complex

Two nights before the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA) negotiators were set to arrive in Tehran to reinvigorate their investigation into Iran’s suspected nuclear weapons research, a mysterious explosion occurred at the very military base they have been demanding to inspect for years: the Parchin Military Complex. No matter what the reason for the incident, it will not improve the prospects for getting a comprehensive nuclear deal. (...) Details are still sketchy about the 5 October explosion. The official statement from within Iran’s Ministry of Defense claimed that two people were killed in a fire at a chemical workshop that produces explosives. Other reports indicate a bright fire was seen from miles around and that the initial blast supposedly shattered windows in neighboring towns. What could have caused the blast? An accidental chemical or weapons explosion is still most likely. (...) Given the timing, just under 48 hours before the IAEA visit to Tehran (and weeks before a deadline to conclude a larger deal with the US and others), darker suspicions will be inevitable. (...) Iran Adjusting to 'The New World Order' without the Great Satan

The Great Satan's power vacuum after Obama's 'change' hasn't been lost on the Mullahs. Like every other critter of the dark, they smell a chance.
In a meeting with the Assembly of Experts, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the world is entering a “new order” as the West's influence wanes and that officials in the Islamic Republic need to be aware of the changes and prepare to play a role in the new context. After World War II, Western countries took over the management of the world, especially in countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, said Ayatollah Khamenei. They did this by promoting a specific type of cultural values and using military and political might. Khamenei said that both of these types of power have been challenged and are now uncertain. Ayatollah Khamenei said that this “order was in the process of change,” and “When the world is changing, when global order is changing and a new order is being formed, naturally we have a more important duty.” (...) Israel Starts Global PR Campaign Against Iran

The day after another round of talks in Vienna began between the world powers and Iran in an attempt to reach a draft agreement on its nuclear program, Jerusalem is not sitting idly by and started a worldwide campaign against the Iranian regime.

With the beginning of another round of talks today between Iran and the western powers, a campaign against the Iranian regime was launched, warning of the dangers of an agreement with Tehran and calling for not believing the Iranian government. The campaign will take place in media outlets across the globe and will include television broadcasts, pictures and ads on billboards. As part of the media efforts, a picture of a man hanged in Iran was published alongside the words: “don’t let the Ayatollahs win.” Underneath is written the following caption: “don’t give Iran the capability to build an atomic bomb.” In the background of the opening of the talks with Iran and the opposition to the agreement, US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will come to visit Israel tomorrow. He will meet with Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and possibly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ya’alon is expected to warn Hagel about reaching an agreement with Iran that would allow it to continue its nuclear program. Iran Pokes a Vinger in Obama's Eye

Iran has named a member of the militant group that held 52 Americans hostage in Tehran for 444 days to be its next ambassador to the United Nations. The Iranian government has applied for a U.S. visa for Hamid Aboutalebi, Iran’s former ambassador to Belgium and Italy, who was a member of the Muslim Students Following the Imam’s Line, a group of radical students that seized the U.S. embassy on Nov. 4, 1979. Israeli Navy Captures Iran Missile Smuggling Ship

On Wednesday, in the Red Sea, Israeli commandos intercepted a freighter carrying a secret cargo of munitions loaded in Iran and hidden under bags of cement. The weaponry included dozens of Syrian-made M-302 rockets which Israeli authorities say were bound for terrorists in Gaza, and from there would have been capable of striking almost anywhere in Israel, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The next day, Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ridiculed the munitions seizure, implying it was a public relations stunt (...) Perhaps Zarif had no idea that while he was shilling for “peace,” Iran was shipping Syrian missiles via Iraq toward Gaza — the latest in a long series of Iranian weapons shipments to terrorists. Perhaps Zarif’s Iranian colleagues waved him off to meet with Assad in Damascus without a word about the Syrian rocket shipment transiting Iran. Perhaps Iran felt no need to alert the Iraqi authorities not to look too closely at the cargo aboard the Klos C. Perhaps Putin, international overlord of Syrian weapons deals, had no idea such smuggling was still going on. Perhaps, by amazing coincidence, Zarif knows less than do the Israelis about the regime he serves. That would leave America and its diplomatic cohorts negotiating over a nuclear weapons program with an Iranian foreign minister who is so far out of the loop that he believes his own lies. But should we? (SourceMore IDF Blog

Iran Boasts It Has Mapped Out Targets in de US

A top commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards boasted Saturday that his forces have plans in place to attack the United States from within, should the U.S. attack the Islamic Republic. “America, with its strategic ignorance, does not have a full understanding of the power of the Islamic Republic,” Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami said in a televised interview. “We have recognized America’s military strategy, and have arranged our abilities, and have identified centers in America [for attack] that will create a shock.” Reports indicate that terrorist Hezbollah forces — allies of Iran — have infiltrated the U.S. and have mapped out targets. “We will conduct such a blow in which they [America] will be destroyed from within,” Salami said. This is the second warning by a high-ranking officer of the Guards in two weeks. The chief commander of the Guards, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jafari, addressing Secretary of State John Kerry, said on Jan. 24 that a direct conflict with America is the “strongest dream of the faithful and revolutionary men around the world.” Kerry had previously said that if Iran did not live up to the agreement reached in Geneva on its nuclear program, “all options are on the table.” (Source)

Israel’s motivation is survival, not political expediency

As the IAEA reports that Iran has stopped enriching uranium to the twenty percent level required to produce a nuclear weapon in order to meet its obligations under the recently signed accord, the Obama administration fights tooth and nail to prevent the United States Senate from enforcing consequences of Iran's breaking of the international agreement. The deal was engineered by the P5+1 powers as a temporary phase to allow a permanent solution to be developed to halt the Iranian nuclear weapons program. The administration also refuses to release the details of the deal to the general public. This tells me that Obama and U.S. Secretary of State Kerry are hellbent on getting an agreement in place with Iran to prevent the need for military action, no matter the cost to Israel’s security or American long-term interests in the region. They are not hellbent on stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Israeli opposition to the agreement is well documented. This is because Israel is on her own. She can no longer count on the United States to protect her existence. (...) Israel will have to act alone militarily. She has no choice. Israel’s motivation is survival, not political expediency. Iran's Armageddon Myth: the 12th Imam

In a fascinating article for FrontPage Magazine titled “Now the Twelfth Imam Can Come,” scholar of Islam Robert Spencer provides a crash course on the nature of Twelver Shi’ite theology, with particular reference to a nuclearizing Iran. Shi’ites believe in the return of the so-called Twelfth Imam who is descended from Mohammed’s son-in-law Ali ibn Abni Talib, the fourth caliph assassinated in 661 in a succession war, after which the split between Sunnis and Shi’ites eventually became permanent. As Spencer explains, the Shi’ites continued a line of imams, “members of Muhammad’s household and his prophetic heirs. Each one in turn, over two centuries, was poisoned.…According to the traditions of Twelver Shi’ism, the official religion of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the twelfth of these Imams, a boy of five years old, disappeared under mysterious and disputed circumstances in the year 874 – but remained alive.” Though communicating with the world through various agents, he entered the state of “occultation” in 941, promising to return when the time would be propitious. 38 Executions in Iran During MEPs Visit

'United Against Nuclear Iran' has an interesting infographic up about Rowhani's record while in office. Meantime...

Last week a European Parliament delegation returned from a six-day visit to Tehran, the first official visit to Iran in more than six years. The five-member delegation was led by the chairwoman of European Parliament's friendship delegation with Iran, Tarja Cronberg from Finnish Greens and included Cornelia Ernst, German communist; Isabelle Durant, Belgian Greens; Marietje Schaake, Dutch Liberals; and Josef Weidenholzer, Austrian Social Democrats. During their Dec. 13-18 visit at least 38 death sentences were carried out official Iranian media sources said. This while many executions in prisons are conducted in secret and news of those is rarely released. Many MEPs including those from the Group of the European People's Party, the largest in the European Parliament, refused to go to Iran in protest of the country's gross human rights violations. Iran Wins 'Deal of the Century'

Here's what the European Union wins economically in this deal (scroll down for English) (Source)

Here's why the French went ballistic:

On the heels of an Israeli television report last week that President Barack Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett has been holding secret talks with Iran, the Associated Press reported Sunday after a nuclear deal had been struck that the U.S. and Iran indeed engaged in secret face-to-face talks over the past year that were personally approved by Obama. The talks were “kept hidden even from America’s closest friends, including its negotiating partners and Israel” until just two months ago, according to the AP. (Source)
John Bolton in "Abject Surrender"

(...) This interim agreement is badly skewed from America’s perspective. Iran retains its full capacity to enrich uranium, thus abandoning a decade of Western insistence and Security Council resolutions that Iran stop all uranium-enrichment activities. Allowing Iran to continue enriching, and despite modest (indeed, utterly inadequate) measures to prevent it from increasing its enriched-uranium stockpiles and its overall nuclear infrastructure, lays the predicate for Iran fully enjoying its “right” to enrichment in any “final” agreement. Indeed, the interim agreement itself acknowledges that a “comprehensive solution” will “involve a mutually defined enrichment program.” This is not, as the Obama administration leaked before the deal became public, a “compromise” on Iran’s claimed “right” to enrichment. This is abject surrender by the United States. In exchange for superficial concessions, Iran achieved three critical breakthroughs.
First, it bought time to continue all aspects of its nuclear-weapons program the agreement does not cover (centrifuge manufacturing and testing; weaponization research and fabrication; and its entire ballistic missile program). Indeed, given that the interim agreement contemplates periodic renewals, Iran may have gained all of the time it needs to achieve weaponization not of simply a handful of nuclear weapons, but of dozens or more. Second, Iran has gained legitimacy. This central banker of international terrorism and flagrant nuclear proliferator is once again part of the international club. Much as the Syria chemical-weapons agreement buttressed Bashar al-Assad, the mullahs have escaped the political deep freezer. Third, Iran has broken the psychological momentum and effect of the international economic sanctions. (...) (Source) Video

World Bows for Peace At Any Price with Iran

The 5+1 have reached a temporary deal with Iran for the duration of 6 months. Only the world's mental babies are glad. Everyone else is highly criticial, Israel has butchered the outcome as the start of a new arms race. Sanctions are not something that can be switched on and off like a switch. The uranium which is >20% enriched remains in Iran. It must be downgraded, but who will do that? The enrichment facilities will not be closed. Damaged centrifuges can still be replaced under the agreement. The demand that Iran stops enrichment has been dropped. The concessions are on the West, which is desperate for peace at any price: sanctions will be loosened while the West will not undertake any actions against Iran's proxies, Syria and Hezbollah. Iran gets away Scot free and will be able to breakout in a matter of weeks. A digest of the main reactions.

This is the confidence trick pronounced by Lady Ashton: "a long term, comprehensive agreement of reciprocal measures to be undertaken by both sides" - as if there were moral equality! A compromise between food and poison, is poison.

Israel Warns Iran Over New Nuke Report

An Israeli defense official says a new report claiming Iran could produce enough weapons-grade uranium to build a nuclear bomb in less than a month is further justification for why Israel will take military action before that happens. Danny Danon, Israel's deputy defense minister told USA Today that Iran is speedily moving to develop advanced centrifuges that will enable it to enrich uranium needed for nuclear weapons within weeks. "We have made it crystal clear – in all possible forums, that Israel will not stand by and watch Iran develop weaponry that will put us, the entire Middle East and eventually the world, under an Iranian umbrella of terror," Danny Danon, Israel's deputy defense minister told USA Today. Iranian Opposition Says Regime Is Moving Nuke Site

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) says nuclear weaponization research and planning center was being moved to a large, secure site in a Tehran defense ministry complex; accusation comes less than a week before G5+1 nuclear talks in Geneva, Reuters reported on Thursday. In a news conference in Paris, the NCRI "said on Thursday it had information about what it said was a center for nuclear weaponization research in Tehran that the government was moving to avoid detection ahead of negotiations with world powers." The NCRI exposed the Iranian regime's uranium enrichment facility at Natanz and a heavy water facility at Arak in 2002. (Source)

Israel, Gulf States Team Up Against Iran

Israel, alarmed at the prospect of a U.S.-Iranian rapprochement, is reported to be discussing the possibility of an anti-Iran alliance with longtime Arab adversaries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, a project that could have immense ramifications in the Middle East. (...)  Senior Israelis have held meetings with prominent figures from a number of Persian Gulf and other Arab states in recent weeks in an attempt to muster a new alliance capable of blocking Iran's drive, Israel's Channel 2 television reported Wednesday.

The report said Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who has vociferously opposed what appears to be a determined effort by U.S. President Barack Obama to pursue reconciliation with Iran's new president, Hassan Rouhani, supervised these "intensive meetings." Channel 2 said a "high-ranking official" from an Arab state secretly visited Israel for talks. It gave no details. The Times of Israel observed that the report was published a day after the hawkish Netanyahu declared during a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York that shared concerns over Tehran's nuclear project "have led many of our Arab neighbors to recognize ... that Israel is not their enemy." Israel's prime minister declared Tuesday that his country will never allow Iran to get nuclear weapons, even if it has to act alone, and dismissed Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's "charm offensive" as a ruse to get relief from sanctions.

Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking to world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly, played the spoiler to Iran's overtures to warm ties with the U.S. after decades of estrangement.

Last week, the U.S. and Iranian presidents spoke on the phone, the highest level contacts between their countries in 34 years. Netanyahu said Israel's future is threatened by a "nuclear-armed" Iran seeking its destruction and urged the international community to keep up pressure through sanctions. "Israel will not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons," he said. "If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone, but in standing alone Israel will know that we will be defending many, many others," Netanyahu added. (Source

Not everyone in Iran is agreeing with their President, the super 'moderate' peace maker!

Sept. 27, 2013

There is no reason to suppose that Rouhani will ever commit to the termination of the nuclear program. SIn fact, the purpose of this farce is to buy time until Iran has completed the process of acquiring a nuke. (...) In 1938 the British PM Chamberlain made a concession to Hitler and ceded the entire territory of Czechoslavakia in exchange for peace. Winston Churchill was furious: ""You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war." Churchill knew this to be the case, because Hitler's ideology and intentions were clear to his mind.

The dishonor in 2011 wasn't in terrotorial concessions to Iran, but rather in the absence of action. Years ago the Iraeli defense minister  Ehud Barak predicted that Israel would have to face Iran on its own. The West would be stupified. This is the West's dishonor: the inevitable war with Iran will be left up to 6 million Israelis.

Iranian Banefsheh Zand last year presented a solution which comes down to the following: give the Iranians an ultimatum, a red line. If they cross it, fuck em up. But Barack Obama's red lines don't mean much these days: Putin and Assad called his bluf in Syria. Banefsheh Zand:

REDLINE to send this message rocketing around the world:

"Uranium", a timely and powerful documentary presenting the danger posed to the free world by a nuclear Iran. The film exposes the radical Islamic ideology guiding Iran's leaders, and the destruction it causes.

Full transcript of Obama statement after his phone call with Houhani

A senior Iranian military leader said that his country’s “power and resistance” has forced the United States and President Barack Obama to kowtow to Tehran, according to reports in Iran’s state-run media. The senior military aide to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran has strong-armed Obama into accepting its nuclear rights. “The Americans have sensibly chosen a type of flexibility and withdrawal vis a vis Iran,” Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi was quoted as saying on Wednesday by the Fars News Agency. The United States “reached this conclusion that they can’t challenge the powerful Iran,” Safavi was quoted as saying.

The Iranian press celebrated Obama’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly earlier this week, describing it as a “different tone” and a “new path,” according to reports. (...) Iranian military leaders such as Safavi claim that Obama’s shift from the rhetoric of war to that of peace signals Tehran’s arrival as a world power. (...) “Mr. Obama as the U.S. president announced for the first time that ‘we are not seeking regime change in Iran and respect the Iranian nation’s right to access peaceful nuclear energy’ and this stabilized Iran’s right,” he said. But while Obama’s attitude may be shifting, Iran intends to retain its hardline rhetoric, according to Safavi (...) (Source)

Rowhani Proposes Israeli Nuclear Disarmament

Rowhani (in his second speech for the global potentates) said he's looking for Israeli nuclear disarmament, while Iran of course has no plans at all to suspend it's secret programs. The world's leaders will see him as a dove of peace, evidently.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani has urged Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, is his second speech at the UN General Assembly this week. Rouhani called for a world disarmament conference that would establish a nuclear-free zone in the Middle East. “As long as nuclear weapons exist, the threat of their use exists,” Rouhani said, and mentioned the use of nuclear weapons against Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War 2. Rouhani said that Israel was the only country in the region that had not yet signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Earlier, Arab states proposed a non-binding resolution to the UN's nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), calling for Israel to join the NPT and to allow its nuclear facilities to be inspected by the IAEA. However, member states of the UN nuclear agency voted down the resolution. (Source)

Despite Obama's overtures and willingness to meet with the totalitarian Iranian mullah, Rouhani is summarily snubbed by the holocaust-denying Islamic supremacists. And why not? Obama floats idea of letting them enrich 'some uranium'

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded Tuesday to what Jerusalem views as Iran’s “charm offensive” by laying down four stiff criteria for determining whether Tehran has indeed abandoned its nuclear program. “The way to stop Iran’s nuclear program requires four steps: Halting all uranium enrichment; removing all enriched uranium; closing [the uranium enrichment facility at] Qom; and stopping the plutonium track,” Netanyahu told the cabinet. Iranian President Rowhani Brags about Deceit

Following Russia's President Putin's column in The New York Times last week, the Washington Post has now signed up the new 'moderate' president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani for an op-ed. Rowhani's election motto was "Prudence and Hope"; his power does not reach beyond that of the Supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. The WaPo called Rowhani "perhaps the most moderate candidate in the country's six-way presidential race".

The world's democratically elected leaders will be rubbing shoulders next week with global dictators and tyrants at the UN Headquarters. The French President François Hollande has announced to have accepted Rowhani's invitation for a tête à tête, the first meeting between the countries since 2005.

The moderate Mullah will also have talks with the P5+1 (international community code for the five permanent members of the Security Council plus Germany). Also Obama's court eunuchs have signalled an 'extremely small' meeting with Barack Obama.

With the US's experience with North Korea in mind, it is possible to assess US actions with regards to Syria and Iran. The Obama administration is clearly implementing the North Korean model in its dealings with Syria and Iran.

With regards to Syria, there is no conceivable way to peacefully enforce the US-Russian agreement on the ground. Technically it is almost impossible to safely dispose of chemical weapons under the best of circumstances. Because Syria is in a civil war, the notion that it is possible for UN inspectors to destroy the chemical weapons is absurd.

In case Assad is in non-compliance the agreement requires complaints to be discussed first at the UN Security Council where China and Russia wield veto power; it is clear that Russia is willing to do anything to protect the Syrian regime and no action will be taken.

Like former US presidents with regard to Pyongyang, Obama has effectively accepted the continued legitimacy of Bashar Assad, despite the fact that the regime has been violating rights since decades.

As was the case with Pyongyang and its nuclear brinkmanship and weapons tests, Assad won his legitimacy and removed the US threat to remove him from power by using weapons of mass destruction.

As for Iran, Rowhani's talk of closing Fordo needs to be viewed against the precedents set at Yongbyon by the North Koreans. In other words, even if the installation is shuttered, there is every reason to believe that the shutdown will be temporary.

Just as North Korea remains off the list of state sponsors of terrorism despite the fact that since its removal it carried out two more nuclear tests, it is hard to imagine that sanctions on Iran removed in exchange for an Iranian pledge to close Fordo, would be restored after Fordo is reopened.

Like North Korea, Iran will negotiate until it is ready to vacate its signature on the NPT and test its first nuclear weapon. The danger posed by Obama's decision to seek a false compromise rather than accept an unwanted confrontation following Syria's use of chemical weapons will only be removed when the US recognizes the folly of seeking to wish away the dangers of weapons of mass destruction through negotiations.

Those talks lead only to diminishing US power and danger, as more enemies develop and deploy weapons of mass destruction with the sure knowledge that the US would rather negotiate fecklessly than contend responsibly with the dangers they pose.
