On July 8, 2016, the Democratic IT staffer Seth Conrad Rich was murdered.  Wikileaks offered a $20,000 reward for information. Assange suggested on Dutch TV Rich was his informant. Assange has always maintained Russia did not hack the DNC (live blog updated by Mark F. McCarty).

UPDATE: A photo has emerged of Seth Rich with Imran Awan (Live Blog) in a bar the night Rich was killed. On July 10, 2016, 27 year-old Democratic staffer Seth Conrad Rich was murdered in Washington DC about a block from his apartment. The killer or killers took nothing from their victim, leaving behind his wallet, watch and phone. Earlier that night he had been at Lou’s City Bar, a sports pub 1.8 miles from his apartment, in Columbia Heights, where he was a regular customer. He left when the bar was closing, at about 1:30 or 1:45 a.m. Police were alerted to gunfire at 4:20 a.m. by an automated gunfire locator. Within approximately one minute after the gun shots, police officers found Rich with multiple gunshot wounds, in a conscious and breathing state. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died. According to police, he died from two shots to the back… Rich’s mother told NBC’s Washington affiliate WRC-TV (More)

In other news about the Seth Rich murder case, Jack Burkman, a GOP-connected lawyer who has been probing Rich’s death since the fall of 2016, tells Radar that Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, who met Donald Trump, Jr. at Trump Tower in New York City in June of 2016 also met — around the same time — with the murdered DNC employee. Burkman reveals to Radar, a current Democratic National Committee staffer, who contacted him with this information on July 20, 2017, told him that Rich provided Veselnitskaya with a cache of stolen DNC emails at their meeting that may have, later, comprised the July 22nd WikiLeaks document dump. (...) News that Seth Rich may have transferred DNC emails to Veselnitskaya comes as the Russian hacking theory is on its last leg. The Gateway Pundit previously reported DNC email time-stamps and download speed times strongly suggest the files were not hacked — but rather obtained locally. A mysterious IT specialist, who goes by the name The Forensicator, published a detailed report that appears to disprove the theory that the DNC was hacked by Russia. (More)

New meta-analysis has emerged from a document published today by an independent researcher known as The Forensicator (source), which suggests that files eventually published by the Guccifer 2.0 persona were likely initially downloaded by a person with physical access to a computer possibly connected to the internal DNC network. The individual most likely used a USB drive to copy the information. The groundbreaking new analysis irrevocably destroys the Russian hacking narrative, and calls the actions of Crowdstrike and the DNC into question. (...) (More) The documents were copied on July 5th, five days before Seth Rich was murdered. The Forensicator summarized the complex report into 10 bullet points. (More)

Tweep @Strimecka reminds us of the original CNN article dated July 25, 2017 clarifying that the Russian collusion narrative was created by Hillary campaign manager Robby Mook well before the Democrats lost the election. The narrative is not just psychological cover in order to cope with the traumatic loss of the election. Mook latched on to some debate in the Republican platform to make it more pro Russia. Mook seized the moment and here we are.
Hillary Clinton's campaign manager is alleging that Russian hackers are leaking Democratic National Committee emails critical of Bernie Sanders in an effort to help Donald Trump win the election in November. It comes on the heels of "changes to the Republican platform to make it more pro-Russian," Robby Mook told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" Sunday. (More) xxxx
