Western and Islamic concepts often do not coincide. The discrepancies are a source of misunderstandings and exploitation; it is also very dangerous in the state of perpetual war that Muslims declared on infidels and apostates. Unlike most Westerners -- especially liberals -- Muslims are well aware of the differences and are using it to their advantage.

The Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, a recent convert to Islam, refused to stand for the national anthem during a Friday evening preseason football game. To motivate his actions he said: "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." (More) That is after almost eight years of the Obama presidency. It is a great example of taqqiyah, the Islamic mandate living among infidels to use deception should the situation require it. This has nothing to do with race, but Kaepernick is using a Western moral issue to cover up the fact that as a Muslim he no longer recognizes infidel rule over America.
