ISIS Message To Obama

The pen is mightier than the sword. Ridicule is mightier than the pen. Humor is a caricature of reality: an exaggeration of some characteristics and oversimplification of others. (Wiki) But that theory of humor presupposes that the observer is in touch with reality. This explains why many won't accept present schtick. LOL

(Video) Religion Versus Freedom

In today’s culture there is a tendency to associate capitalism with religion. That association stems from generations of conservatives suggesting that what makes America free, great, and exceptional is faith. So it’s hardly a surprise that many Americans who revere science oppose capitalism.

Onkar Ghate challenges the view that we face a choice between science and capitalism.

In this talk, delivered as part of ARI’s Road to a Free Society tour, ARI senior fellow Onkar Ghate challenges the view that we face a choice between science and capitalism. Instead, he argues that capitalism is the system of reason and science — and that statism is the system of faith and obedience to authority.

Recorded on December 3, at ARI’s headquarters in Irvine, California.

(Video) IS Smashing 3,000 Year Old Assyrian Artifacts

In the last few days reports keep coming in of hundreds of Assyrian Christians abducted from their villages. (Source) In the margins of that terrible news cultural cleansing is taking place at unprecedented pace, part of the official definition of genocide.

Feb 26, 2015 ISIS militants take the hatchet to priceless 3,000 year old Assyrian artifacts in Nineveh Museum, Mosul. H/t @Kromst

The Islamic State released a video on Thursday showing militants using sledgehammers to smash ancient artifacts in Mosul. There is no place in the reborn world for three thousand year old 'idolatry'. These aren't 'idols' as such, but that Biblical commandment is just an excuse anyway. The psycho-epistemology that moves these primitive mystics is plain. These Utopians want to rid their post revolutionary world of all impure thoughts. They mean to destroy ideas, which is why they destroyed the people first. Taking the hatchet to the symbols of their past is just the final nail in the coffin.

Juxtaposing 'American Sniper' and Jihadi Sniper

The ISIS Propaganda Unit have posted a video that is supposed to be the terror organization's answer to the Oscar winning, blockbuster movie American Sniper directed by Clint Eastwood. All they do is prove who they are: knuckle dragging Neanderthals with guns.

Feb 25, 2015 The footage, showing a series of assassinations in Syria, is said to be a bid to rival the Oscar nominated film American Sniper.

You could have fooled Michael Moore, or the other primitive life form called ISIS, but American Sniper isn't about shooting as many people in the head as possible. The opening scene shows Kyle with a target in the cross hairs. He abstains from shooting him. Next he is presented with a mother and child, which poses an almost impossible moral dilemma for any soldier who has just become a father for the first time. The mother hands the boy an IED (or some other explosive device) for a suicide mission against the convoy Kyle is to protect. Kyle shoots both nevertheless, saving the lives of his comrades.

Democrats Toeing The Party Line on Islamic Terror

Mental babies with razors are running an existential war against our civilization (source), some on purpose, some out of stupidity. This is the moment where we all burst out in to hysterical laughter by the absurdity of it all. It could actually be funny in a bizarre sort of way if it wasn't so exceedingly dangerous.

Shia Rebels Overrun US Training Base in Yemen

Yemen is the ground zero where the forces of Islam's two great traditions -- Sunnism and Shi'ism -- collide over the hegemony of the Middle East. It also happens that whoever controls Yemen, controls shipping through the Red Sea.

Drones Over Paris: 3 Al Jazeera Journos Arrested

Terror sympathizers are being emboldened by the lack of resolve of our leaders. Most would think that the arrest of 3 Al Jazeera journos (PR arm Muslim Brotherhood) for allegedly operating a drone from a park in Paris, is a hoax. But it's by no means certain they were the only ones conducting reconnaissance flights.

Paris drone sightings.

Three Al-Jazeera journalists have been arrested for flying a drone in Paris after French capital was put on terror alert because remote control gadgets had been seen flying over landmarks.

  • The reporters were allegedly operating the drone from a suburban park.
  • There is no suggestion they were involved in a recent spate of sightings. Meaning, their may be others, also conducting test flights.
  • Unmanned aircraft were seen flying over tourist hotspots in French capital.
  • Appeared in 'at least' five locations in the city in early hours of Monday.
  • Security officials were unable to catch the operators of the drone aircraft.
  • Civilian drones are thought a serious security risk and are banned in Paris.

Copenhagen Muslims' 'Chain of Peace' Not All It Seems

Danish police confirmed that a gunman opened fire at the Copenhagen Synagogue on Krystalgade Street less than 24 hours after a shooting at a free-speech event. In the attack on the synagogue 2 people were killed, 2 wounded. (Source

UPDATE: Oh well, reform of Islam was a great idea for an hour or two..

Muslim Brotherhood and High Level Infiltration

The Muslim Brotherhood looks pragmatic, but that's a tactic. Their goal is infiltration to directly challenges western thought. MB actively recruit Muslim intellectuals. Brothers use western ideological terms, such as democracy to lend their own definition to these concepts. The MB's stated goal is the conquest of the Western world by cultural means.

UPDATE: Entryism, the favourite tactic of the 1980s’ Militant Tendency, is when a political party or institution is infiltrated by groups with a radically different agenda. Since Militant’s Trotskyites were expelled from the Labour Party, the word has rather fallen out of fashion. But now, according to one Muslim leader, Islamic radicals are practising entryism of their own — into the heart of Whitehall – courtesy of a woman who was until recently a government minister. Baroness Warsi, the first Muslim woman to sit in Cabinet, handed official posts to people linked to Islamist groups, including a man involved in an “unpleasant and bullying” campaign to win planning permission for the controversial London “megamosque” proposed by a fundamentalist Islamic sect. He sits – alongside other radicals or former radicals and their allies – on a “cross-Government working group on anti-Muslim hatred” set up by Lady Warsi and Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister. Weekend Quiz: Guess the Obama ME Foreign Policy

Those who listen to Obama don't understand the nature of his Postmodern world view: reality is not an independent external truth, but is in the eye of the beholder. The description of such a reality makes words fluid, meaning one thing one moment, something other the next. So instead we should look at what his actions tell us. Riddle me this:

HISTORY OF ISLAM HOLDS KEY TO ISIS' DESTRUCTION

The Iranian-Dutch professor of law and critic of political Islam, Afshin Ellian (Wiki) has posted an interesting article, suggesting a way how the intelligence services could destroy the Caliphate. The secret to its destruction lies in the history of Islam itself.

Afshin Ellian has a brilliant idea!

The Islamic State has adopted a entirely different theological dogma than its predecessors. Before the Islamic State declared the Caliphate, theological teachings were rooted in the dogmata of Ibn Taymiyyah (1263-1328) (source)). Let's delve into the history of Islam for a moment.

Obama's 3 Day Int'l Seminar on Islam Apologetics

This week Obama is holding a three day seminar on Islam apologetics. The false concepts, equivocations and plain lies coming out of that forum defy description. But it is obviously what Western leaders choose to believe. The rest of us will have to deal with that as well as with the reality of Jihadism.

As far as a keen observer might be able to make out, the goal of Obama international conference on global fundamental extremism (or extreme fundamentalism) may be to separate religion in general, and Islam in particular from terrorism and the Islamic State. A few very destructive misunderstandings can't be repeated often enough.

DRAW A MOHAMMED CARTOON, WIN $10,000

To show the world that they aren’t going to submit to savagery the human rights advocacy group, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, or AFDI, will be holding an online contest for cartoons of Mohammed. The winning cartoonist will be awarded a $10,000 prize.

It’s time the free world said enough is enough. On Saturday, an Islamic jihadist murdered one person and wounded three, firing multiple shots at an event entitled “Art, Blasphemy and Freedom of Expression” at the Krudttoenden cafe in Copenhagen, featuring Muhammad cartoonist Lars Vilks and Francois Zimeray, the French ambassador to Denmark. Clearly he wanted to kill Vilks and continue the Islamic attack on free speech. [Written before the events later that evening at the Copenhagen Synogogue (source): red.]

IS ESCALATE TERROR PER SAVAGERY HANDBOOK

The Islamic State has released a series of videos showing beheadings of American and British hostages. With a series narrated by British journalist, John Cantlie the tactic changed. After the beheading of two Japanese hostages the downed Jordanian pilot was burnt alive. The IS ideology drives it to ever greater savagery (source).

#COPENHAGEN ATTACKS DIDN'T HAPPEN IN A VACUUM

A shooting took place at a free speech event in Copenhagen. One civilian was confirmed killed and 3 police officers wounded. Around 40 shots were fired. Cartoonist Lars Vilks was evacuated by security services and may have been the target. Hours later a synagogue was under attack. (Source

Lars Vilks famous Motoon.

The facts:
  • 40-yr-old Danish man killed in shooting at cultural centre
  • Three policemen reported injured
  • French ambassador to Denmark inside but unharmed
  • Meeting about freedom of speech was being held at the time
  • Gathering organised by Swedish artist Lars Vilks
  • Lars Vilks caricatured Prophet Muhammad in 2007

UPDATE: In the light of the double attack in Copenhagen, a carbon copy of the program followed in Paris, links to past stories are circulating making the puzzle fall into place. Indeed, terrorist attacks don't happen in a vacuum and are the result of years of policies leading to a culmination that is costing people's lives which might have been saved if political leaders did what they're hired to do: the protection of the realm. Here are a few highlights:

UK POLICE HOUNDING CHARLIE HEBDO FANS

Long overdue. A file to bring together stories showing that Western political leaders are traitors to the values and the fundamental rights rooted in the philosophy of Liberty. You can't force a man to think or to acquire knowledge, but you can hold him responsible for ignorance by design and criminal negligence.

The British LibLabCon Government is kicking this series off. May have something to do with a Fascist outfit called Common Purpose that promotes subordination as a leadership skill.

Several British police forces have questioned newsagents in an attempt to monitor sales of a special edition of Charlie Hebdo magazine following the Paris attacks, the Guardian has learned. Officers in Wiltshire, Wales and Cheshire have approached retailers of the magazine, it has emerged, as concerns grew about why police were attempting to trace UK-based readers of the French satirical magazine. Wiltshire police apologised on Monday after admitting that one of its officers had asked a newsagent to hand over the names of readers who bought a special “survivors’ issue” of the magazine published after its top staff were massacred in Paris last month. The case in Corsham, Wiltshire, was thought to be an isolated incident but it has since emerged that Cheshire constabulary and Dyfed-Powys police have also approached newsagents over the sale of Charlie Hebdo. In at least two cases – in Wiltshire and in Presteigne, Wales – officers have requested that newsagents hand over the names of customers who bought the magazine. (Source)

PROOF IS IN! MOHAMMED WAS A FRAUD

Humanists have the wrong idea of what constitutes a religion: it's an ideology with the purpose of serving one or more gods. Religion is not about giving man a purpose in life or becoming a better person! But that is not what this posting is about. It's to show that Islam is a fraud.

Here's the philosophical proof that Mohammed was a fraud.

Secret video smuggled out the IS capital, Raqqa

The Coalition is engaging in limited 'kinetic' strikes against the Islamic State in Syria. John Kerry has said the objective of this long term counter-terrorist op is not the destruction of IS. It is consistent with the Western contradictory strategy to combat Assad as well.

WEST IS CLUELESS ABOUT ISLAMIC STATE

Western politicians led by Barack Obama have a false idea about what moves Islamic terrorists and the Islamic State. The present policy is useless. Last weekend a very important article was posted that explains the integrated IS ideology.

Feb 9, 2015 Charles Krauthammer: Obama thinks a strategy to defeat Islamic State is not necessary.

The American conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer gets it. Separating Islam from the Islamic State has consequences. It not just absolves Islam of the crimes committed by the Islamic State in the name of the religion of peace. The problem becomes intractable, because nothing is done to get to the root. But there are also consequences how to combat the Islamic State. Because of the false identification (random crime, instead of systematic warfare) we are going haphazardly after unrelated incidents. Western Governments vow to combat terrorists; but they are sent through the revolving door of the penal justice system and come out free men at the other end, because the standards are civil, rather than military. (A Dutch Court yesterday found two men not guilty of preparing to carry out terrorist attacks by joining radical Islamic groups in Syria: source.) These people are walking time bombs waiting to explode. What we need is an institute like GITMO to take these asymmetic killers off the battle field.

WHY CHILD LABOR ISN'T AN EVIL, BUT A GOOD.

Last year the CEO of the Ayn Rand Institute, Yaron Brook, made a very successful tour of Europe. One particular segment in his speeches attracted particular flack from the audience: that child labor is a phase in the development of Capitalism and isn't an evil, but a good.

Muslims Protesting #CharlieHebdo in London

Terror at the offices of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. 17 people have been killed. European leaders then held the faux styrofoam #ParisMarch of Surrender, poking one in the eye of Jihadists. Here's the fall out.

UPDATE: Three things about "being offended" as a means of control. 1. Don't buckle to the pressure. 2. No one can offend you without your consent. 3. Truth seekers can't be offended. OK, here are offended Muslims exercising their freedom of speech to demand the end of freedom of speech. So glad Monty doesn't have to see this.

What Obama's Prayer Breakfast Speech Is Telling Us

Indications that the core of the Obama regime consists of committed Marxist postmodernists has been well known, far before he was ever elected President. For a long time the White House  have been able to mask its nature. But with the wrapping up of the Presidency, the ugly truth is becoming much more apparent.

Feb 7, 2015 Judge Jeanine Pirro Opening Statement on Obama's telling Prayer Breakfast.

UPDATE:

THE ISIS IDEOLOGY DRIVES IT TO EVER GREATER SAVAGERY

The video showing the burning alive of the captive Jordanian pilot prompted revulsion around the world. Propaganda!, cried Islam apologists. Don't show it! But behind this outrage is a postmodern ideology that is driving the Islamic State to ever more terror and brutality. If true, we ain't seen nothing yet.

This image is not meant as 'propaganda', as an elevator pitch. It's terror, intimidation aimed at breaking the will of anyone who even thinks of resistance.

The burning to death in a locked cage of captured Jordanian pilot Muadh al- Kasasbeh by Islamic State was barbarous even by its own brutal standards. The group struggled to justify the live immolation of a Muslim prisoner with the ease it did in previous cases of heinous crimes. In a written fatwa about two weeks before the video, Isis-affiliated clerics cited differences of opinion over the issue among Sunni Islam’s four schools of jurisprudence. In the end, the Isis clerics ruled that immolation is "forbidden in principle" but "permissible in cases of reciprocity". In previous cases, Isis found little difficulty in citing evidence to back the religious legitimacy of its acts.

More Evidence of Turkey's  Involvement In Kobane Attack

Here's again the footage we showed yesterday, this time with the Reuters commentary. Turkey is denying the allegations.

An Islamic State fighter emerges from a grain depot in Turkey, near the besieged Syrian border town of Kobani. That's according to this video released by a monitoring group which tracks the war in neighboring Syria. The British based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says four suicide bombers attacked Kobani, Saturday, and that a vehicle used as a car bomb had come from Turkey. This, as Turkey's main Kurdish party, the HDP, accuses the Turkish government of turning a blind eye to the militants on its home soil. It says Islamic State militants are hiding among the grain depots along the border as a base of operations, even as Turkish security forces patrol the area. The HDP says the presence of the IS fighters in Turkey is a "scandal" but Turkey has strongly denied supporting the militants. Meanwhile, Turkish residents continue to closely watch the incessant fighting in Kobani just across the border, where fighters have been attempting to push back the Islamic State insurgents. FOOTAGE CONFIRMS IS ATTACKING KOBANE FROM TURKEY

Latest footage of Kurdish defenders fighting off attacks by IS orks on the Turkish side of the border.

The factory site (grain silos) is on Turkish side. IS terrorists are firing from the factory site and Kurdish fighters are returning fire. H/t @TaninKendal

Heavy fighting since last night in Kobane. It confirms that Erdogan is openly supporting IS. Turkish silos can be seen in the direction of fighting and the border crossing is as always guarded by Turkish soldiers to prevent Kurds from Turkey going into Kobane. Today footage shows intense fighting at the border crossing, but the Turkish soldiers have been replaced by IS fighters. Since last night IS has exploded 4 suicide bombs in Kobane, a number of tanks were attacked; 120 mortar and artillery attacks on Kobane were reported from the Turkish side. This may be their last, desperate attempt to take Kobane. So far 52 IS orks have been killed, and 7 YPG KIA.

IS Attacking Kobane From Turkey With Car Bombs

ISIS fighters set off two suicide bombs on the Turkish border with the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani Saturday amid clashes that have killed at least 30 fighters, an activist group said. Kurdish militia have been holding off ISIS fighters for more than two months in the battle for the town, known as Ain al-Arab in Arabic, but neither side has been able to gain a decisive advantage. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said ISIS fighters detonated a suicide car bomb at the border crossing at dawn Saturday and that clashes broke out after.

Turkey-IS cooperation: IS attacking Kobane under the watchful eye of the Turkish military.

A second suicide bomber with an explosive vest later blew himself up in the same area, the Observatory said. Clashes also broke out throughout the town itself, and another car bomb was detonated to the south, the Observatory said. At least 30 fighters from the two sides have been confirmed as killed so far, said Rami Abdul-Rahman, the Observatory's director. Twenty-one of those were ISIS fighters, including four suicide bombers. The remaining nine were from the Kurdish forces. (Source)

IS Release 20" Film With Kobane War Propaganda

In addition to the pictures released yesterday, the SS IS Ministry of Information has now produced a 20 minute film, including an English translation. A must see for every student. For those who are prepared to see it, interviews with military brass touches on the essence of the problem: in an existential war, it couldn't be worse. A lack of weapons would have been preferable to this: a demoralized leader. The will to fight is missing. This handful of vermin could be destroyed in a jiffy. The nonsense that "there is no military solution" speaks volumes of the mindset on the Western side caused by the inability of Obama to fight Muslims. The film makes another thing crystal clear: why IS and Turkey share the same hatred for the Kurds, specifically the Marxist PKK/YPG/J. It's not because they are a terrorist organization: Islam hardly understands the concept of terrorism. It's because they are Godless apostates!

KOBANE DAY: DEMOS FOR LIBERTY AROUND THE WORLD

The Kurds have been following Marxist doctrine for decades. But in recent years in Iraq, many have been in contact with Americans, who's culture convinced them that Liberty can't be achieved by coercive altruism, but rather by the protection of rights and respect for the autonomy of the individual. But Marxism has taught the Kurds two important things that are rare in their parts of the world: sexual equality and secularism in governance. Centuries of Turkish, Arab, Persian and Iranian oppression has taught them perseverance and the value of freedom and autonomy. If they manage to choose constitutional nationalism over ethnic nationalism and steer clear of the dangers of altruistic utopianism, there's no reason why these great people won't be able to succeed in building the second free state in the Middle East after Israel. The entire region would benefit. But first the evil, black power of IS must be defeated, and a great number of other orc tribes in its wake.

Today in many places around the world, Kobane Day was celebrated in demos in solidarity with the beleaguered Kurdish border town. Perhaps the professional activism of the Kurds has even been able to convince a number of Leftists that the appeasement of Islam is leading to our doom. The combined forces of the Nihilism of Islam and the Nihilism of Postmodernism are the cause of the ultimate Islam: the Islamic State, which is now worse than the plague in the Middle and Near East and a threat to every civilized human being on the planet. And the war won't wait: also today the fighting continued.

Peshmerga Advance Team Arrives  in Kobane

The progress today of the Peshmerga into Kobane was quite confusing. Here's the latest.
An advance team of 10-15 officers entered Kobane through the Turkish border on Wednesday afternoon to plan a collective strategy with the People’s Protection Units (YPG). The Peshmerga team is also exploring an entry strategy for the approximately 150 Iraqi Kurdish soldiers that will provide artillery support to the YPG in Kobane. Those men await orders to deploy at a temporary camp at Pirsus, seven miles from Turkey’s border with Syria, where they are being guarded by the Turkish military. Kurdish commanders said ISIS had intensified attacks over the last 48 hours in expectation of the Peshmerga’s arrival. US-led coalition jets hit several targets Wednesday night and Thursday morning to facilitate a safe crossing. (Source)

It may have been Erdogan who demanded their presence to offset the power of the Peshmerga from Iraqi Kurdistan. It has also been suggested that the purpose of the FSA is to jump into the power vacuum the moment IS is defeated preempting the YPG from taking control of the city. All that is making sense. But below is how the Kurds themselves look at this deal.

Oct. 26, 2014

BRITISH SPECIAL FORCES ACTIVE IN KOBANE

Laser guided bombs need boots on the ground to guide the bombs to their targets. We didn't have those in the early days of the defense of Kobane. But now we do:

A team of British special forces were dispatched to the Turkish- Syrian border to help brave Kurdish fighters battle against Islamic State (IS) gunmen. The British troops called in several air strikes, killing dozens of IS fighters and halting their advance towards Kobane, just inside the Syrian border. In one attack, SAS guided warplanes into an area where IS fi ghters were massing for an attack The US jets dropped several 500lb bombs into the area, killing and injuring dozens of fighters. In another strike the SAS pinpointed the location of a large convoy of tanks, armoured personnel carriers and ammo trucks heading towards the area. An SAS team hiding in the surrounding hills directed two US combat planes into the area. The pilots then swooped on the convoy, destroying the vehicles with missiles and bombs. One source last night said: “The SAS deployed to the area around Kobane a couple of weeks ago and have done themselves proud. (Source)
Great story! But it's not over yet.
The SAS have been involved in the military action against IS for the past two months. The troops have been based mainly in Iraq where they have co-ordinated air strikes and have helped to train local militia forces. Around 200 Kurdish fighters trained by the SAS will join the battle for Kobane in the next few days. The British troops have taught the Kurds how to use heavy machine-guns and direct mortar and artillery fire on to enemy positions.

Kurds Cold On 1300 FSA Fighters to Kobane

Last night we reported here that the Free Syrian Army (FSA) had confirmed it is sending 1300 fighters to Kobane to help the Kurdish forces combat Islamic State. This weekend we posted a special feature on the subject of the FSA. (Source) The architect of this plan is Turkish President Erdogan. Yesterday Erdogan announced during a press conference that the Kurds had accepted the proposal. But today the Kurds have become skeptical: two top Syrian Kurdish officials told AFP that it would be better if Syria's rebels opened fronts against the Islamic State in other parts of the country:
"If they really want to fight Daesh, they can attack from Azaz and Ifrin (in northern Syria) eastwards," said Bulat Jan, a Kurdish spokesman. "Any force that enters our areas without our permission would be considered an enemy force."

He stopped short of saying whether the Kurds would turn away rebel reinforcements. (...) On Thursday, veteran Syrian rebel commander Colonel Abdel Jabbar al-Okaidi said he would send fighters into Kobane across the Turkish border to support its Kurdish defenders. Jan voiced suspicion about Okaidi's intentions saying the Kurds would not "allow him to play the role of a Trojan horse". Some sinister game is going on here to bring in a Trojan horse and defeat Kobane from within . (...) (Source)

FSA Confirms Sending 1300 Fighters to Kobane

So the FSA (Free Syrian Army) has confirmed reinforcements will be sent to Kobane. Now this FSA is contentious. The Americans have long proposed to train and arm them, but they may not all be the moderates they hope for. The US is now going to the long process of vetting them. We'll get back on this all important issue.

Situation on Sinjar Precarious; Kobane Awaits Peshmerga

The situation on Mount Sinjar is still precarious. Kobane is eagerly waiting the arrival of the Peshmerga. The matter about the rumors of the mustard gas attack is still unresolved. An info chart of the coalition is reminding us of the political intricacies: the green countries are largely responsible for the very existence of IS and why this war must be fought in the first place. The hero patriots in this war must be honored and remembered. There are quite a few by now who died for liberty and civilization. We are reminded of the words of Thomas Jefferson that makes clear that Freedom is never free: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Arrival of Peshmerga at Kobane Delayed

All eyes are currently on the Peshmerga reinforcements from Iraq. Turkey has agreed for the convoy to cross Turkish territory (see map). Kobane's Wounded Heroes Die At Turkish Border

It may have been a brilliant day for the defenders of Kobane, but it did not end well for all of the heroes of the battle.
With medical supplies depleted in the war-ravaged north Syrian town of Kobani, Kurdish activist Blesa Omar rushed three comrades wounded in battle against Islamic State fighters straight to the border to dispatch them to a Turkish hospital. He said he spent the next four hours watching them die, one by one, from what he thinks were treatable shrapnel wounds as Turkish border guards refused to let them through the frontier.

Kobane Defenders Retake Strategic Hill

Today was a brilliant day for the defenders of Kobane. Under heavy air strikes by the coalition, the YPG/YPJ forces were able to retake an important hill overlooking the town. The hated black flag of the Caliphate was taken down and the Kurdish flag is once again proudly flying over Tall Shair.

Why Kobani Should Be a Strategic Objective

Beyond symbolic significance it's not well understood why Kobane is so important to Islamic State. Contrary to what John Kerry may say, the capture of Kobane would offer IS control over the Euphrates River, from the Turkish border upto the final goal, Baghdad.

KURDISH FSA GROUP JOINT BATTLE FOR KOBANE

WHERE'S THE FLOTILLA FOR KOBANE?

Another phenomenon standing out here is the absence of the lefty groups that never fail to show up for Gaza and Hamas. One genocide is not quite like another, it seems. And since this is the prevailing ideology in many parts of the West, it explains much of the hypocrisy we touched on on Oct. 9 (scroll down) that attracts young Muslims to radical fundamentalists groups, like IS.

TURKEY BEHAVING LIKE AN ENEMY, NOT AN ALLY

Since Turkey, under the rule of Muslim Brotherhood is moving away from Western values, the question is popping up, should the country be in NATO? And shouldn't the programs to bring Turkey into the fold of the European Union, which benefit Turkey enormously, not be ditched? Turkey is behaving like an enemy instead of an ally.

ON KOBANE, THE WEST IS GUILTY OF HYPOCRISY

This accusation on the face of it, looks like a grotesk, postmodern piece of slander:

On Kobanê: inaction of Western World and Turkey is more brutal than IS. (Source)

But the author has a point. The Islamic orcs are following their fundamental beliefs to the letter, however disgusting these may be for free human beings. But the West and ostensibly also Turkey - as a NATO member and an aspiring member of the EU - are betraying their own highest values. It's a general problem in the decadent West. The moral standard over the last few years has shifted towards group equality and peace at any price. This has led to Nihilism: there is no value left fighting for, lest some group will be offended or the peace is disturbed. It's very sad. As it happens, this hypocrisy is also what drives young Muslims in the West into the hands of the Islamic State in the first place. Watch this video.

DEFENSE OF KOBANE IS HOLDING, FOR NOW

Here's @r3sho's commentary of what happened this morning at Kobane:

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE OF THE WAR ON ISLAMIC STATE MUST BE ITS DESTRUCTION

The view from Turkey is, that there is nothing to choose between the Communist leaning Kurdish minority of the PKK and the criminal gangs of the Islamic State, which has a large number of followers within the country. From the perspective of the Muslim Middle East, the Islamists are legitimate 'freedom fighters' resisting Western hegemony. And that view is the problem. First, IS is a product of Islam, not of the West. Secondly, political Islam is an objective, universal enemy of the whole of humanity because it denies man individual rights, freedom, and even life itself. The Islamic marauders are thus a moral problem for everyone concerned. Faced with evil, there's no middle ground. You can't appease this evil as some in the West are willing to do; or to compromize, as Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE are trying to do; because evil will turn you into an accomplice. There is just one solution to this problem we will have to accept: it must be destroyed or it will destroy us.

KOBANE, AND OTHER STRATEGIC MISTAKES IN THE WAR ON IS

The Pentagon on Tuesday said that airstrikes alone won't be enough to halt ISIS' advances and admitted a central flaw in its four-part plan: "no boots on the ground" and it won't, perhaps, for more than a year. Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby told reporters Wednesday the administration has been providing limited assistance to various rebel groups on the ground, but has not coordinated airstrikes with them. As for Kobani, Kirby said that people "need to understand we need a little strategic patience here. This group is not going to go away tomorrow, and Kobani may fall. We can't predict whether it will or it won't. (...) Kobani is representative of the larger problem. (...) As part of his strategy, Obama requested and was granted the authority to train and equip moderate elements of the Syrian opposition. But there's been "no vetting started yet and no recruiting at this point" of those Syrian forces, Kirby said Wednesday. (...) the administration doesn't consider Kobani a strategic objective of its campaign against ISIS, it could spell trouble for other key Syrian towns in which the US does not have ground partners.

"What's to stop ISIS from grabbing more land in Syria? (...) what is really needed from them is on-call air support to pound ISIS any time it comes into view, 24/7," Garrett Khoury, Garrett Khoury, the director of research at The Eastern Project. "ISIS isn't some shadowy guerrilla group; it has tanks and artillery. Kobane is a tragedy in the making, but the key is that it is still early enough for the opponents of ISIS to reverse the situation. The tide could be turned within a matter of hours if the Kurds there received effective air support and reinforcements. ISIS is not invulnerable; it has faced defeats before."

Fred Hof, a former special adviser for transition in Syria under then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, predicted to The New York Times in August that the US would find itself "maneuvered into a very uncomfortable position. He added that the US is “unconsciously walking into an ambush" if the remaining Syrian nationalist opposition is squeezed out by ISIS and the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad before significant US help arrives.

US officials put the blame for Kobani's seemingly impending fall squarely at the feet of Turkey. "There’s growing angst about Turkey dragging its feet to act to prevent a massacre less than a mile from its border," a senior administration official told The New York Times. "After all the fulminating about Syria’s humanitarian catastrophe, they’re inventing reasons not to act to avoid another catastrophe." "This isn’t how a NATO ally acts while hell is unfolding a stone’s throw from their border," said the official, who spoke anonymously to avoid publicly criticizing an ally. Read all:

TURKEY HAS BETRAYED THE COALITION AT KOBANE

Coalition bombardments are ongoing. The orcs of IS are now holding about one third of the town. Air support is not enough to lift the siege. Erdogan is still preventing supplies of men and ammo to reach Kobane. Turkey has betrayed the coalition. (Source) Whereas the other Middle East members, who are as much to blame for the existence of the Evil Empire as Turkey, have at least accepted the approach of destroying IS before taking the work at hand of removing the Assad regime from Syria, Erdogan is holding the war to randsom, supporting in effect the cause of the Islamic orcs. Which frankly, is no surpise. The protection of minorities is a Western value.

PRESS RELEASE FROM KURDISH FORCES YPG

UNDER COVER OF FIGHTING IS, TURKS ARE CRACKING DOWN ON KURDS

Let's be blunt about it: under cover of flighting IS at #Kobane, Turks are cracking down on the Kurds instead, arresting some 200 defenders. @JenanMoussa just clarified something else for us;  for obvious reasons the Kurds don't want the Turks to come in; they want the border open for men and ammo. (Tweet) The ongoing air attacks made IS pull back from certain parts of Kobane, but there is no sign of a retreat as such. (Tweet)

H/t @sociologyworld (Source)

Here are a few very noteworthy tweets from @r3sho updating us with news from inside Kobane, so read this carefully:

“This isn’t how a NATO ally acts while hell is unfolding a stone’s throw from their border,” said a US spokesman (...) John Kerry has had multiple phone calls in the last 72 hours with Turkey’s prime minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, and foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu (...)".

This is another clear indication of the nature of the so-called Syrian moderate rebels, who appear to be rooted in the Muslim Brotherhood. Turkey is obviously blackmailing the US into cooperating with them:
While Turkish troops watched the fighting in Kobani through a chicken-wire fence, Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that the town was about to fall and Kurdish fighters warned of an impending blood bath if they were not reinforced — fears the United States shares. But Mr. Erdogan said Tuesday that Turkey would not get more deeply involved in the conflict with the Islamic State unless the United States agreed to give greater support to rebels trying to unseat the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad. That has deepened tensions with President Obama, who would like Turkey to take stronger action against the Islamic State and to leave the fight against Mr. Assad out of it. (...)

Kobane May Fall To IS At Any Moment

Decisive Battle For Kobane Ongoing

The orc army of Islamic State has planted its black flag of death on the Eastern outskirts of the Kobane. The fight of control of the town is ongoing. Turkey doesn't lift a finger: It is by now apparent that Turkey sees the Kurds as an even greater threat thans IS. Perhaps even more so. There is after all no ideological difference between Turkey's rulers and the Caliphate. Intrepid reporters on the spot @HaraldDoornbos and @JenanMoussa only just reported the sounds of an airplane in the skies over Kobane. There has not been any air support today. At all. The true intentions of this coalition are in serious doubt.

Misinformation About the Stand Off At Kobane

In the meantime @r3sho has been sorting out truth from fiction. Bad examples of  misinformation: "ISIS has entered Kobane", "ISIS has taken over Kobane", "Turkey shelling ISIS." And claims such as "50 US marines now in Kobane", "Pesh anti-terror now in Kobane", etc.

Map of Kobane With Overview of Current Situation

Also of keen interest is the Twitter Timeline of Central Command. Tweets stress the importance of the Sunni coalition (just so we know that Obama didn't go this alone) and an indepth explanation of the Hajj, highlighting that "this is not a war against Islam". TL hasn't changed since Oct. 3. Disgusting politicizing of a war! Even Iran thinks it's a joke!

Turkish Police Attack BBC Crew At Kobane

Must see! BBC crew come under attack near Kobane. Turkish police have fired two tear gas canisters at a vehicle carrying a BBC reporting team as it was leaving the border area near Kobane, Syria. The second round was fired at point blank range though the rear window, filling the van with tear gas and briefly setting fire to the vehicle. Correspondent Paul Adams was being filmed shortly before the attack, and the camera kept rolling during the next few minutes. The team is on the Turkey-Syria border to cover Islamic State's siege of the nearby town. Nobody was injured in the incident. (Source, includes video)

Coalition Airstrikes at Kobane Aren't Working

Each of the participating members of the coalition have different agenda and priorities. Surely Sun Tze must have said something about that, but it stands to reason that under such circumstances combatting IS from the air isn't working. (Source) A Kurdish spokesman told The Guardian:
“Air strikes alone are really not enough to defeat Isis in Kobani. They are besieging the city on three sides, and fighter jets simply cannot hit each and every Isis fighter on the ground.” He added that Isis had adapted their tactics to military strikes from the air. “Each time a jet approaches they leave their open positions, they scatter and hide. What we really need is ground support. We need heavy weapons and ammunition in order to fend them off and defeat them.”

Airstrikes Against Islamic State at Kobane

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitoring group is reported as saying to @AFP that "seven new coalition strikes against IS positions were carried out in the area late Saturday and the strikes were hindering the jihadists' advance". (Source) This has also been reported by another source, MEE. (Source) Following tweets are witness to  the coalition's halfhearted policy with regard to IS. Too many other interests are at stake. Turkey for example thinks its fight against Kurdish independence and against Assad's rule in Syria far outweigh the importance of destroying the ideologically aligned Islamic State.
