The Media, Hamas, and Moral Cowardice

Recap of the day which saw another cease fire shot to bits by Hamas rockets. And we learn that the media are biased towards Hamas out of sheer moral cowardice.

Hamas Spokesman admits Hamas is specifically targeting Jewish citizens in Israel, a war crime according to the Geneva Convention. Incidentally, a Israeli Bedouin was killed by a Hamas rocket on July 19.

A Million Hypocrites March to Protest Gaza in London

Top of the bill, Dr 'nuke' AQ Kahn, the Pakistani scientist who got away with Western nuclear secrets which he stole from a Dutch laboratory. He turned it into a profitable mail order enterprise providing the likes of Iran and North Korea with expertise and material. His actions could potentially kill millions. Then there's the organizer of the march, Saddam Hussein's old buddy, Mad George Galloway. The rest speaks for itself.

Let the Israel Defense Force Finish the Job!

The Israelis have rejected a truce that would only provide Hamas with a chance to regroup. Hamas' rockets cost $600,000 a piece! Somebody must be bankrolling these projectiles that target Israeli babies. The following is a quote from the article, "Israel Can Win" (link in third tweet from the top): "Who wants a ceasefire? Qatar. The sheikhs who bankroll the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Jazeera, and Hamas would see their status rise. A ceasefire would lend credence to the theory that the traditional Sunni powers—Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia—have been eclipsed both by Shiite Iran and by Brotherhood-friendly Sunnis in the Gulf and Turkey. Having lost Egypt and possibly Gaza, the Brotherhood finds itself on the precipice. A Qatari-backed ceasefire that does not include disarmament of Hamas would pull the movement back from the abyss."

Israel Wants Peace; Palestinians Want Islam

Today more reports on Hamas turning hospitals into veritable army barracks and an oldie... using ambulances to transport Hamas fighters. And then there are the refugee camps, maintained and paid for by the UN. The real scandal is that Arab leaders prevent their people from ever leaving those camps so as to keep the issue alive. To the Palestinians individuals are expendable: they are sacrificed to the cause of an Islamically pure Palestine.

Shock! The UN Catches Hamas Arsenal in Gaza School

Another truce, another flagrant violation by Hamas. The UN finally discovers one of Hamas' arsenals inside a school. The European Parliament once again makes a fool of itself. And the Emergency Director of Human Rights Watch is caught grossly misrepresenting Israel's policy to wage war while avoiding the civilians that Hamas is using as human shields.

Israel Counts It's First Victim in the Gaza War

It's one of the most perverse memes around: the notion that somehow the disparity in victims is the evil of this war, instead of the fact that Hamas is the aggressor. And a Must Read piece in the tweet of @lennybendavid, plus a pretty good episode of Pallywood.

Israel Resumes Ops After Hamas Rejects Cease Fire

Israel Restarts Air Strikes Amid Rocket Fire

This morning Israel unilaterally agreed to a cease fire. By early afternoon Hamas had lobbed 47 of its rockets into Israeli territory. To be honest, Hamas never accepted the cease fire. Which makes plain to all to who facts and reality still matter, who the aggressor in this war is. By late afternoon the IDF hit 30 targets in Gaza:
Israeli Air Force jets attacked roughly 30 terrorist hotspots in Gaza on Tuesday afternoon. Among the targets hit were 20 hidden launching pads, terrorist tunnels, a munitions storage facility, terrorist activity hotspots and Islamic Jihad operational headquarters. An IDF spokesperson said that the attacks were launched “Due to the incessant launching of rockets from Gaza into Israel.” (Source) H/t @SarahLeah770
In the meantime there's more than something ugly in the rage against Israel. Some of the motivations and justifications are downright perverse.

How Much Is a Palestinian Life Worth to Palestinians?

Another false meme is doing the rounds in the Leftist media. The meme is suggesting that to Israel a Jewish life is worth more than a Muslim. The truth however is this: a member of the Palestinian collective is dispensable, which is the reason why terrorists are hiding in schools and hospitals or behind human shields of women and children. In individualist Israel every free life counts. We have seen the same logic in prisoner exchange. These negotiations are not conducted in a vacuum. Apparently a Muslim life is less valuable to the Palestinians too, otherwise they wouldn't have agreed to such a deal.

Hamas May Have Pledged Allegiance to Caliphate

Mourners in Gaza were seen carrying black flags of the bloody Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terror group at a funeral on Sunday for one of two terrorists Israel targeted in an airstrike on Friday. Also the Times of Israel reported that almost the entire Syrian side of the Golan Heights is now under the control of rebel forces, including radical Islamic jihadist groups. Analysts said this was the first such open sign of local support for the group (also known as the “Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant”), which is engaged in fierce battles for control of Iraq, and in Syria, in order to create a unified Islamic caliphate.

How Palestinians and their apologists justify rocket attacks on Israel

Leaving aside for the moment the horrendous kidnapping and murder of three young Israeli's, let's have a look at how Palestinians and their apologists justify their barrages of erratic homemade Qassam rockets.

They don't seem to notice, or they are beyond caring, that they implicitly admit it was them that attacked first.

Barrage of 130 Gaza Rockets Lands on Israel

Israel Live Rocket Counter: Incoming From Lebanon

Lebanese media reported that two volleys of rockets had been fired from a Palestinian refugee camp near the Lebanese town of Tyre. There was an attempt to fire a third volley, but the missiles fell short of the border. The IDF said four makeshift rocket launchers had been located east of Tyre. The red alert siren sounded in the cities Nahariya, Acre, Kiryat Shmona and Karmiel, and residents reported hearing explosions. Lebanese media reported that the IDF promptly retaliated, attacking targets in south Lebanon, but the army denied those reports.

An Israeli Iron Dome battery intercepted one of the rockets. Israeli TV aired footage of minor damage caused by a fragment from the rocket that fell on the outskirts of a town outside Nahariya. Another rocket fell in a town near Acre, causing damage to several houses. Three residents were treated for shock. The Abdullah Azzam Brigades, an al-Qaeda-inspired group based in Lebanon, claimed responsibility for the attack in a post on the Twitter account of Sirajuddin Zurayqat, a prominent Islamic militant leader. (Source)

Israel has retaliated. A Palestinian terror group in Lebanon, which was apparently the target of IAF strikes early Friday morning in response to rocket fire in northern Israel Thursday, expressed surprise at the raid, given that a Sunni, al-Qaeda-inspired group claimed responsibility for the rocket attack. Since Muslim Brotherhood Pres. Morsi came to power there's a new challenge: Jihadism in the Sinai

Incoming From Sinai

A missile attack on Israel’s popular Red Sea resort of Eilat Tuesday morning prompted deployment of the military’s vaunted Iron Dome defense – and has raised new fears Egypt's army can't contain the violence in the increasingly lawless Sinai Peninsula. Although no one was killed and one of the three missiles was intercepted, the attack is viewed as a significant escalation in the activity of Islamist terror groups in Sinai, many of whom are affiliated with Al Qaeda. Under the recently deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, security in Sinai deteriorated, allowing groups such as Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis – which claimed responsibility for the Eilat attack – to flourish. They have been targeting the provisional Egyptian government, but now could be taking on Israel, too. (Source)

MusBros Go Underground, Set Up Command In Gaza

On July 22, DEBKAfile revealed that a group of six Muslim Brotherhood officials escaped from Egypt after the July 3 overthrow of president Mohamed Morsi in a military coup and smuggled themselves into the Gaza Strip to lead an uprising against the military. The group was headed by Mahmud Izzat Ibrahim, known as the Brotherhood’s “iron man” and fourth in rank in its hierarchy after Supreme Guide Muhammed Badie. The fugitives set up a command post at the Gaza Beach Hotel for operations against Egyptian military and security targets in collaboration with Hamas and armed Al Qaeda-linked Salafist Bedouin in Sinai. The group planned their revolt to spread quickly out from Sinai to Egypt proper and topple the interim rulers in Cairo. Western intelligence agencies following the inner workings of the Muslim Brotherhood have since discovered that the Brotherhood’s plans are a good deal more high-powered than first thought. According to DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources, the movement never dismantled its clandestine paramilitary underground. (...)
